Do-It-Yourself Acupressure for Stress Relief: Tools for Caregiver Self-Care
Caring for yourself is one of the most important—and one of the most often forgotten—things you can do as a caregiver. When your needs are taken care of, the person you care for will benefit, too. Regardless of age, sex, and race and ethnicity, caregivers report problems attending to their own health and well-being while managing caregiving responsibilities. As caregivers experience varying levels of stress and burnout; self-care is central to creating balance in one’s daily life and caregiving journey.
The Ontario Caregiver Organization is proud to present Christine Fung; an Acupuncturist for over 20 years. This session will be focused on self-help acupressure techniques to help relieve stress and improve well-being. This session is great for all ages and those who are looking to get instant relief from stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Christine has spent over the past 10 years working as an acupuncturist helping patients to achieve their optimal wellness. She strongly believes that traditional acupuncture is an effective alternative medicine in conjunction with conventional medical treatments for ailments.
Christine runs her own practice in Mississauga, Acupuncture Shiatsu Clinic which has been established for over 20 years. She has received several awards throughout the years. She has received the Community Building Award presented by Bathurst-Finch Network in 2012, Top Acupuncturist in Mississauga presented by Top Choice Awards in 2011 and 2013, and Three Best Rated Acupuncturist in Mississauga in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
