Caring at Home: Getting Connected in the Home and Community Support Sector

December 8, 2022
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

As a caregiver, it can be challenging to understand what is available to support you when caring for family members and friends in the community. Finding
the right services and support for you and your care recipient can be overwhelming. Knowing the right language to use can help identify your needs and
problem-solve when issues arise. Understanding the home and community sector can help you to find your way through the system and access the services you
need more easily. Join our webinar to:
• Hear the lived experience from a caregiver and their insights into challenges and solutions when caring for someone living at home in the community
• Listen to Deborah Simon, Chief Executive Officer, Ontario Community Support Association, as she provides an overview of the home and community
support sector in Ontario, and find out about supports that exist in the community with options for care recipients and caregivers
• Learn practical tips when communicating with providers within the home and community sector to help equip caregivers with supportive tools to problem solve
