This Workshop Series is for people living in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Counties.

Practical Caregiver Training will be offered by Zoom at 9-11am or 6-8pm on five consecutive Tuesdays from March 1 – 29, 2022. Participants must commit to the same class time for all 5 weeks. Please see instructions for registering below.

• The Role of the Caregiver
• Communicating with loved ones and healthcare professionals
• Lifts and Transfers and Body Mechanics
• Providing Personal Care
• Medication Management
• End of Life
• Advance Care Planning and Grief
• Self Care

This training is developed by the Champlain Hospice Palliative Care Program and sponsored by the South East Regional Palliative Care Network. It is intended for unpaid caregivers of loved ones with a life-limiting illness in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Counties only.

Classes are kept small with a maximum of 12 participants.
