The Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Mosher as Board Chair effective June 23, 2021. David has been a volunteer director with the organization since its inception in 2018 and has made a significant contribution to the evolution of the organization.
David has focused his career on improving the health care system in Canada. He is currently the Vice President Sales for Logibec and the Past Chair of MitoCanada, an organization focused on raising awareness, funding research and providing support for people with Mitochondrial disease. David also sits on the CanChild Advisory board which is based at McMaster University and focuses on children’s disability research. He is the Past Chairman of the Board of ITAC Healthcare and is still an active board member. David has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
David is also the proud father of his 19-year-old daughter, who at the age of one, had a metabolic event that caused a brain injury and left her developmentally delayed and requiring a feeding tube. David’s own unique caregiving journey inspires him to want to improve the journey for other caregivers.
The Ontario Caregiver Organization would like to extend its deep appreciation to Janet Beed, who has served as OCO’s inaugural Chair since 2018 and now becomes Past Chair. Janet played a critical role in building the OCO which exists to support all of Ontario’s caregivers, regardless of age, diagnosis or where they live.
