With a mission to improve the experience for all caregivers, the OCO provides supports and services regardless of the disease, location, age, ethnicity, or condition. <strong>Come join us as we build our team!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We are recruiting for a:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regional Lead \u2013 GTA\/Central Ontario<br>Work from both OCO Office and Home Base in Greater Toronto Area<br>Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) is hiring a Regional Lead to build connections and collaborate with caregivers, health\/social service providers, and key stakeholders at the community level. This position will also focus on growing local engagement and support of caregivers that have unique needs or barriers to inclusion including but not limited to Black, Indigenous or Persons of Colour, or on the basis of, national or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity, age or mental or physical disability or socio-economic status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This role represents an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to join a small team that aims to have a big impact on the caregiver experience in Ontario. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they will help to improve caregiver access to support, grow the number and diversity of caregivers we serve, and build partnerships to help address caregiver needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reporting to the Executive Lead, Strategic Partnerships and Innovation, the Regional Lead will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Develop and deliver a plan for regional implementation of OCO goals and priorities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Identify and engage organizations with high potential to address gaps in local caregiver support and advance OCO\u2019s goals and priorities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Build and sustain collaborations with stakeholders across multiple sectors including health care, non-profit, social services, housing and others<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Build caregiver communities and forums that enable caregivers to connect with peers, learn, access support, and inform OCO plans and priorities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Build relationships with community organizations that can help OCO to reach, understand and support caregivers, with a special focus on those with unique needs or who may be facing barriers to inclusion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Inform the development of OCO\u2019s province-wide diversity and inclusion plans and resources<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Lead projects to spread and scale proven models for caregiver support and recognition within the health care system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Lead partnerships that result in increased community capacity to support caregivers, new opportunities for OCO program delivery, and new channels for caregiver referral to OCO<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Organize and facilitate in-person and virtual presentations, workshops, education sessions, and events for caregivers and stakeholder organizations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Act as a local resource and point of contact for caregivers seeking support<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Develop and implement a plan for local\/regional promotion of OCO programs and services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Increase recognition of caregivers and awareness of OCO within the region<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ensure accurate and timely reporting of data and performance indicator and maintain regional stakeholder information in database system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Other duties as assigned<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in community and stakeholder engagement in health care, non-profit, community support, and\/or social service sectors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Strong preference will be given to candidates with a social work or social services background<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Understanding of and experience in diversity, inclusion and accessibility with proven ability to build relationships with organizations and individuals from diverse or marginalized communities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Exceptional communication skills \u2013 verbally, in writing and in virtual environments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Excel at facilitation of interactive workshops, presentations, and meetings (online and in-person)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Established network with relevant stakeholders within GTA and Central Ontario<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Compassionate style and good listening skills, preferably with experience engaging caregivers and\/or people with lived experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ability to foster relationships with professionalism, diplomacy, and trust<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ability to develop and deliver action plans with clear goals and timelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Results-oriented, with ability to anticipate and solve challenges or barriers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Self-starter with high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and productivity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Lived experience related to caregiving, diversity, inclusion and accessibility is a definite asset<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Driver\u2019s license and ability to travel by car for meetings within the GTA and Central Ontario<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>\u2022 <\/a>Ability for occasional work after hours or on weekends to accommodate meetings or events<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Bilingual (French and English) is an asset<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant discipline.
