With a mission to improve the experience for all caregivers, the OCO provides supports and services regardless of the disease, location, age, ethnicity, or condition. <strong>Come join us as we build our team! <\/strong>We are recruiting for a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Digital Communications Specialist Full Time \u2013 Maternity Leave<br>Option to work remotely in Ontario<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OCO is recruiting a Digital Communications Specialist to cover a maternity leave and support the increasing communications needs of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for contributing to the overall digital communication strategy and implementing the strategy across OCO\u2019s various communication channels. Using a journalistic eye for storytelling, this individual will create engaging digital assets for use on multiple platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Contribute to and support the implementation of the communications strategy and specifically the digital strategy<\/li><li>Create and share engaging, relevant and AODA compliant content in English and French for OCO\u2019s key audiences. This includes creating content for OCO\u2019s website, Blog,<br>e-Newsletters and social media channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram<\/li><li>Work with external vendors and stakeholders as needed to implement communications strategy<\/li><li>Compile analytics, analyze channel performance and apply learnings to drive continuous improvement around stakeholder engagement<\/li><li>Report on key metrics to ensure strategy is on-track to reach defined objectives<\/li><li>Make ongoing website improvements and troubleshoot when issues arise<\/li><li>Monitor media and share relevant information across the organization<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Communications, Multimedia or related field<\/li><li>Minimum 3-5 years previous experience<\/li><li>Proficient and creative writer, giving attention to facts, detail and content<\/li><li>Self-starter with high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and productivity<\/li><li>Experience working with social media platforms and managing a WordPress website<\/li><li>Experience as a caregiver is highly desired<\/li><li>Highly developed organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail<\/li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communications tools such as Hootsuite, Eventbrite, Constant Contact and Meltwater<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Experience with a customer\/stakeholder relationship management system (including maintaining database, searching, creating queries, adhering to protocols and processes) is an asset<\/li><li>Experience working with a health organization or not-for-profit would be considered an asset<\/li><li>May require some flexible scheduling for evenings or weekends to accommodate events and meetings from time to time<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key skills &amp; proficiencies<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Excellent communication skills<\/li><li>3-5 years experience with digital platforms including Eventbrite, WordPress, Constant Contact, Hootsuite and Meltwater as well as highly proficient Microsoft Office computer skills<\/li><li>Understanding of AODA guidelines<\/li><li>Ability to prioritize<\/li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail<\/li><li>Work independently and as part of a team<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite qualified applicants to submit a cover letter and resume to <a href=\"mailto:OCORecruit@archive.ontariocaregiver.ca\">OCORecruit@archive.ontariocaregiver.ca <\/a>and please note posting will close <strong>March 4, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thank all applicants for their interest; we will contact only those applicants selected for further consideration.
