Virtual Health Care

What is a virtual health care appointment?

Seeing an online doctor for medical advice, checkups and prescription refills has become a viable option for many patients across Ontario. A virtual health care appointment is convenient without having to travel to a clinic. You can have a visit in the comfort of your home without spending money on parking or other expenses.

However, as a caregiver, you may have questions about when virtual is most appropriate and how you can plan for and get the most out of your care recipient’s virtual appointments.

The Virtual Health Research Group has created toolkits to help you plan a successful virtual health care appointment. The toolkits are based on research and are tested by patient and caregiver advisors. Use the links below to access more information.
