Charitable Status

The Ontario Caregiver Organization often receives inquiries from families who would like to donate to either thank OCO for its support or because they have first-hand experience with caregiving and want to help other caregivers.

Money donated will be used to add new programs, services and initiatives based on what family
caregivers say they need.

  • Do caregivers have to make a donation to access your programs and services?

    No, all of OCO’s programs and services are available to Ontario caregivers, free of charge. There is no expectation for a donation.

  • Why isn’t fundraising more of a focus for the organization?

    OCO’s mandate is to improve the lives of Ontario Caregivers. With the support of the Ontario government, the organization offers programs and services that support caregivers including educational webinars, 1:1 peer support, group peer support, a 24/7 caregiver helpline and more. The OCO will continue to focus and invest its resources on these direct to caregiver supports, while exploring new funding opportunities that become available.
